ABOUT RENATA

Founder and principal designer Renata Malafaia started Creo Interiors because of her passion for design.  With her father being a contractor with a degree in architecture from Brazil, Renata has been exposed to the design and home remodeling process since an early age.  Always taking art classes in grade school and then studying dance and choreographing performing art productions, Renata knew she belonged in the art and design world.  She then went on to study Interior Design at a Boston accredited school, Wentworth Institute of Technology and worked with her father learning the ropes of home remodeling.  She later moved and built a repertoire in the Chicagoland area with two home remodeling companies, designing and managing small to large scale projects.  After many years in the field, Renata knew it was time to open up her own company to take her passion to the next level.  

Renata’s design approach and style is to create timeless spaces by blending different elements from various design styles and eras while incorporating and highlighting architectural details. This blend harmoniously achieves an aesthetic that has character and personality while being warm and inviting that will stand the test of time.  She also isn't afraid of mixing and layering different colors, patinas, textures and patterns to create that harmonious tension within a space that truly makes it special!  We believe that collaboration with our clients is key to a successful project. By truly honing in on their needs and desires, we refine our designs to create spaces that resonate with their vision.  Creo Interiors serves both Chicago and the New England area and is excited to work with more cities across the country!
